A very useful tool to have around the small farm and vineyard. Saves having to carry multiple tools pulling down my pants. The pruner is very effective and the saw is a great addition.

This is a great Plant and Flower book, but it needs more common names so you can look up "Grandma's old Flowers" etc.

I bought this book for my son who is a beginning gardner. He has reviewed it and says it will be very helpful with his garden next spring.

Interesting read and very informative. Good info on gardening and I liked the recipes. Gives an idea about how much you can grow on just a little bit of land.

I bought this bucket to use with a Toro blower leaf vac. I really just wanted to vacuum leaves. The hose fitting onto the mouth of the bucket comes loose too easily. Once the bucket is filled it is hard to get the contents into paper yard bags the garbage man will take.

It is well made and hopefully I will get additional uses out of it.

I am a long time gardener who has had off and on success growing vegetables. I own many gardening books including Vegetable Gardeners Bible. I like the Reader's Digest Book the best as it has a nice format, beautiful pictures and information that other garderning books do not contain. The book covers garden planning, setup, general growing tips, harvesting and storage (no other book has covered this). Then there is a multiple page section for each vegetable that can possible be grown. I also like that there are also two points of view offered by the two authors of this this book: totally organic and the use pesticides in special cases. I paid full price for this book at a local bookstore and felt it was money well spent.

When I looked at the book online I thought that it would include the actuall common used name, but instead it uses it latin name, which not everyone knows. It does however have an extensive plant guide which is useful.

This book is really better for those places that have four seasons. Not all of the book is applicable to our warmer California winter climate.

Must have for gardening enthusiasts. My brother got it for me, but then was lost at a wedding for the flowers. I like it so much I bought another one. Its very functional and useful to have a bunch of tools in the handle so you don't have to go back to the garage or shed to grab another tool if you can open up the handle and get a saw/file/etc quickly. Would make a great present for dads/moms.
